A Trip To the Moon

In 1902, George Méliès created the first silent science fiction film, La Voyage Dans La Lune, A Trip To the Moon. It was a whimsical journey to the moon and back featuring state of the art special effects for its time. It has now been re-released in color and has been set to a perfectly crafted spaced out soundtrack by one of my all time favorite groups, Air. What the band had to say about the soundtrack: 'Everything is played live…like Méliès' film, our soundtrack is nourished by living art." Air is known for composing amazing downtempo electronic music and have provided cinematic magic in the past including the soundscape for The Virgin Suicides which contains one of their most heartfelt songs, Playground Love. This isn't Air's first voyage to the moon. If you want to continue on their journey, take a listen to their classic Moon Safari, which still holds the #1 spot for greatest chill album in my book. My wardrobe has always been inspired by music so decided to start adding some fashion to my blog. I feel fashion and music go hand in hand and a well crafted outfit is art in itself. Art is truly beautiful in the sense it all intertwines and creations can be inspired by any form of it.<3
