It's the right night for the wrong company

Kickin' off Cover Wednesday Dr Dog style. Their take on Architectures in Helinski's Heart It Races delivers a sweet sing-a-long sound accompanied by wailing guitar solos and enthusiastic echoing chants. I was already digging their vibes but they really blew me away from minute 1:54 on when the song takes an unexpected turn to a whole new level of greatness. Their most recent album Shame, Shame stirs away from their normal harmonic layered tunes and touches more on their upbeat energetic side after being inspired by their recent time living on the road. “At this point, we’ve set out this buffet for ourselves, but we first had to cook that food and figure out what our tastes are,” McMicken says. “Now it’s time to dig in.”
